We found the best deal ever at the Salvation Army store the other day. We found a 48" x 48" porcelain magnetic whiteboard, brand new in the box, with a price tag of $14.99. Here is a link to a new one. Office Depot type stores don't sell this size; the shipping label on the box shows that it was shipped to the Forbes Corporation. We don't know how it wound up at the Salvation Army. Wait, it gets better... The label was green, which meant it was half off. That's right, $7.50 for a whiteboard that normally retails in the low $200 range. Of course, we had to buy some rope since it wouldn't fit in our car, and we had to buy some markers. But, overall, we spent less than $20. This is the best value we have ever found at a thrift store. When Jacob and I had an apartment together, he bought a 36" by 48" whiteboard and having it was great. We used it to work homework problems, to make lists, even to argue points at one of the "COW" nights. I don't know what uses we'll find for this one, but we just couldn't pass it up.
