Oh the weather outside is frightful...but it hasn't snowed yet! :)  We've had a busy fall, but things are starting to slow down for a long winter's nap.  Okay, enough with the clichés!  I've basically finished my pediatric rotations for the year and everything went very well.  I still want to spend the rest of my career taking care of children, so I think that's a good sign.  I've been building up my immune system in the process, aka having multiple illnesses.  I've also been busy completing my applications for the aforementioned "match."  I had my first interview today, here in Springfield, and it went very well.  Of course, your home school always wants to keep you so they wined and dined me, but we'll see what their competition shows. :)  My next interview will be in Peoria the day before Thanksgiving and then maybe a couple in Michigan in December.  The big ones will be at North and South Carolina and then Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont in January.  I'm going to head to the Carolinas with a friend who is also interviewing there and then Eric will be able to accompany me to New England.  Being there in January should be a true test for us surviving the weather!  One of the programs mentioned that I should definitely bring my boots!  The whole process has been fun so far and it's exciting to have all these possibilities lie before me.  (I'm not sure if that should be lie or lay....Amy?)  I know that God has a plan and place for us, so I am able to trust without anxiety, or at least not much. :)  In the meantime, I'm looking forward to the time off and the opportunity to travel a little.  I was able to go to San Francisco in October with my nieces and we had lots of fun going to the shore and flying kites. :)  You can see some pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/waneeta3. Eric and I finally got around to taking some pictures under the tree where he proposed.  We waited until the leaves turned just the right color, but by that time there weren't many left on the tree!  It was still pretty though and I'm glad we have something to show those who can't see the park. :)  The pictures of that are also on the above page.  Otherwise, there's not a ton going on.  I turned 25 in October...kinda strange.  I got spinners for my car!  They're pretty funny... Eric threatens that he'll be adding more to "pimp" my car.  Eric started substitute teaching this week, two days for various music classes.  I don't think the kids have scared him away yet.  We're hoping that as the spring comes and I have more vacation time we will be able to spend a little more time visiting with friends, so feel free to leave a comment or send an email and request a visit!  I hope you all have cozy and memorable fall times and wonderful holidays.  Love love love!
