House 6
After eating dinner in Rockford, we headed North to Cedar Springs, a smaller and less-cute town a fair drive from Grand Rapids. We saw two homes in Cedar Springs, the first of which would have been quite a financial stretch.
In and out, this property had been very well kept. This was a large home with high ceilings and lots of space. It has a big well kept yard with mature trees and multiple outbuildings. An attached two-and-a-half car garage had been converted into a one-car and a three-season porch and laundry room (which was odd). There was also a city utility building (pumphouse or well, we think) on the property, so the current owner was getting free water and sewer as part of an easement agreement.
This house was a possibility, because though it was expensive, it would require almost no immediate costly work.
